Batik is one of the iconic culture of Indonesia that have been officially recognized by UNESCO as an intangible culture (non-material element). Batik is not only used in ceremonial or as a formality wear for important events. Nowadays in Indonesia, Batik clothes are fancied by people of all age because it have many updated, modern and sophisticated design suitable for every occassion or daily usage.
MIA AMICA is one of ready-to-wear brand fashion for women that established and designed by Priscilla Listia. In her design, MIA AMICA combined the materials between modern clothes and batik traditional to produce an elegant fashion.
This time I collaborated with Istiarina Putri (Beauty Blogger) and Jessica Eveline (Miss model of Asia & Runner Up 4 Miss Model of The World 2014) for MIA AMICA Spring/Summer 2016 campaign.
In this MIA AMICA Spring/Summer 2016 collection dominated by blue and white colour, she brought up the theme of “Blue Zone”. She also combined a few techniques in the production process like emnbroideries, sequins, laser-cut or digital printed fabrics.
The new collection from MIA AMICA will be showed in Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) Spring/Summer 2016 (28 Sep - 4 Okt 2015). And MIA AMICA collections scheduled to be showed on the runway at Thursday, 1st October 2015.
Vancouver Fashion Week is one of the world-known fashion event that held in Vancouver, British Coloumbia, Canada since 2001. The event will be running in one week and will unite buyer, media, celebrity, industry professional, and also innovative designers will come from around the world to celebrate this event of creativity and fashion.
